I am a visual artist painting in oil on canvas. I work from my own reference photographs and my artwork reflects my love of nature, especially flowers grown here in Southern Ontario. I enjoy painting flowers close up where detail, colour and vividness are at their best. I try to capture realism but still keep a degree of painterly feeling to my paintings. Many of the paintings I created during this Covid shutdown and their titles reflect this. I wanted to create some uplifting artwork to mark this place in time and to show some positivity and encouragement.
