Clare Bonnell left her homeland, England, in 1985 and settled in Ontario with her Canadian husband, their daughter and son. She has experienced an affinity with painting from an early age, winning a pencil at age 6 in a school competition, and continuing with art through high school, the Chelsea School of Art in London and workshops whenever possible during a career in international development. Clare made working visits to over 40 countries which exposed her to. the fabrics, buildings and colours of many cultures and enriched her painting. ​She has exhibited with art groups in England, Greater Toronto and Cobourg where she now lives. Clare is currently a member of the Spirit of the Hills and an artists’ cooperative. www.thecolborneartgallery.ca
